paivansadeSo, finally it happened. I gave in and ordered an M7. Her name will be Omena, following my long standing machine naming tradition. Omena also means "apple" in Finnish, and she'll be the apple of my eye or whatever. Hopefully. High expectations.
Not sure what I should do with Beth. I still don't feel like machine sewing because of the trust issues she's given me. I just did a whole mending project today, cause I was able to do it all by hand. Anyway, I might stick her in a box and put her away for a while, or I might try to re-sell her. Not really sure how one goes about that though...
Work is weird. I'm at 40% time now, and so far I've worked 25 hours in just 4 days. That's more than 1/3 of my alloted hours for April, and I still promised to be in for a full week right after Easter to pretty much support the whole internal audit. They're also trying to stick me in regular meetings, as if I could still help them make any significant changes or long term plans. It's a little ridiculous. But also any extra hours will mean more money to, khem, justify me having thrown a quarter's savings on a single purchase I didn't really need to make.
I had a weird dream two nights ago in which I drowned during a flash flood while at my parents' flat which is on the 4th floor. The flood wave was so fast and high that it reached our windows within seconds, not leaving us enough time to get out and try to find things to float on. I wonder which specific bit of my current flood of anxiety that was all about. It's been forever since the last time I've shocked myself awake with a nightmare.
