paivansadeMore on my personal accounting: I think my stock account is out of control. And I have an entirely insane idea how to fix it. It will require a complete stock count as well as full inventory of non-stock consumables. My biggest issue is fat quarters, and the fact that I keep them in both categories: some as loose FQs, and some as bundles. And I don't believe I will be using up all of the bundles as bundles, I want to be free to mix and match and not go crazy, and I don't just want to move them straight to cost either, cause that will mess up my budget. That stuff's expensive, dang it! So, average purchase price FQs, here we come! ...in April. Possibly late April.
There is a new plot twist in my work saga. Turns out that my replacement whom I've been dutifully training over the past three weeks has resigned. Back to square one, except with wayyyy less time, and no trainee. I am only working full time until the end of March, and then I'm on 40% time. Not quite enough to both train another person AND keep the daily tasks flowing. I really don't envy my team, but I also need to start treating it as somebody else's monkeys. I did my part, I stuck to my promises, and that's that.
I am still super confused about whether I want the new machine or not. All the sewing I've done recently was non-patchwork. Maybe that hyperfixation has run it's course. But no, probably not. My head is still swarming with ideas. I just need a reset button on reality.
